JACOBS TRANSPORTS
Storytelling
Context
When Standard Bank approached us, they wanted “a testimonial video like no other”, a story that could stand apart from traditional client features, which often placed the bank at the center. Jacobs Transport carried a very powerful story. A story of two brothers surviving seven months without a single client and building to a 130-vehicle fleet through grit, prayer, and purpose.

Goal
To objective was to create a story where the entrepreneur was the hero, with a bank as a supporting partner. The video needed to be cinematic, human, and emotive. This pilot needed to prove that authentic stories would resonate far more powerfully than traditional service-focused messaging. The secondary goal was to set the foundation for a storytelling approach that could scale across industries, regions, and future episodes.

Solution
Salt Hub created the signature Action + Sound framework, a storytelling method designed around cinematic realism and emotional resonance. On the visual side, we captured Jacobs Transport in its truest form. We framed every shot to honor the grit and scale of their world, in parallel, the voice-over became the soul of the story. The result: a poetic reflection drawn directly from Mr Jacobs’ lived experience with Standard Bank appearing only as a quiet enabler in moments where it mattered. This episode became the blueprint for all future films in the series.
