Context
The FIN1k campaign was initiated in response to the challenges faced by South African youth, particularly in light of the high unemployment rates and the disconnect many feel between their current situations and their aspirations. Innovator Trust sought to host a program that would empower the youth to navigate these challenges by oering practical financial education and entrepreneurship training.


Goal
The primary goal of the FIN1k 2023 campaign was to aract and engage 1,000 youth participants to register for a WhatsApp-based training program that spanned three weeks. The training focused on personal finance, entrepreneurship, and the strategic management of money in today’s challenging economic environment.



Solution
The campaign was executed through a multi-platform social media strategy. The content strategy was built around the concept of “Money Culture, ” a culture not a movement where young people could come together to learn, share, and grow. Our approach amplifies the message of financial empowerment, encouraging young people to adopt a “money cultured” mindset.
